A splendid time was had by all at the dinner in Kingston on November 23. We raised over $7500, all of which will go to projects in East Africa. Thanks to the Fletchers and their committee for their work in planning this.
In 2011, CanAssist disbursed $86,500 to twelve project partners in Kenya, Uganda and Tanzania. This is a direct result of the generosity of our Donors. We need your contiuned support to keep this work going.
Our Administration expenses in 2011 are less than 4% of this amount!
A CanAssist donor has pledged to pay all administrative expenses for the year. This means that

Our records were independently audited by Collins Barrow Chartered Accountants who found "the financial position of the CanAssist African Relief Trust as at December 31, 2010, and its financial performance and cash flows for the year then ended in accordance with Canadian generally accepted accounting princples".
